The Parks & Recreation Sun Dawgs Program is a collaboration between  numerous local organizations.  The
purpose is to provide Omaha youth (ages 6-15) a fun, enjoyable summer.  This program was expanded into a city-
wide free program in 1994.  This year the trained staff will operate 33 sites.  Seventeen full-day locations
(operating from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm), eight "morning" (operating 10:00 am - 12:30 pm), and eight "afternoon"
sites operating from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
All sites are eligible for field trips, specialist visits, and special events.  This 8-week program is available Monday
through Friday from early June through early August.  Activities include arts & crafts, games & sports, swimming,
special events & field trips, and visits from specialists.  The 24' rock climbing wall, inflatable water tag, and hydrant
parties provide FUN, FUN, FUN.
"PARTNERS" this season include:  the Omaha Public Library, Skateland, Nebraska Game and Parks, Western
Bowl-Bowling Center, Mad Science, the Henry Doorly Zoo, McLean Ice Arena, and the Omaha Royals – baseball
association.  For recorded information call the Sun Dawgs HOTLINE (444-4FUN / 444-4386).  To speak to a
